Negus Medhin has been an integral part of the Power Up! Youth Symposium since 2021. Initially
providing his services to us through a virtual platform, and then more recently at out our 2023 event he
was able to provide the same exceptional service to our participants in person. Whether virtually, or in-
person, Negus is a masterful drummer, a true engager, and someone who exemplifies the importance of
connecting the past to the present through the arts, healing and culture. We are grateful to know him

My name is Benjamin de Graaf and am the Creative Lead of The Love Music Initiative
and have been working within the non-profit sector for over two decades and have
worked with countless people in community in a variety of ways.
